SUMMER READING 2021Tails and Tales Summer Reading 2021
All ages: Summer Reading is new and improved for 2021! Track your reading this summer to earn virtual badges and raffle tickets all using the Beanstack app! Click here for answers to FAQ

Some dates to keep in mind are:

  • July 29 - Last Day to Log Reading - on Beanstack
  • Aug 2 - First Day to Pick up Prizes
  • Aug 16 - Last Day to Pick up Prizes

OUTDOOR STORY TIMEOutdoor Story Times 2021
Join Miss Nancy and Miss Riley outside the library for Outdoor Story Time! We will read stories, do fun fingerplays, sings songs, and more. Join us for a fun time and develop literacy and language while social distancing.

Program is geared for kids ages 0-5, but older siblings are welcome. Please bring your own blanket to sit on. Caregivers must stay for the entire program. Register with Sugar Grove Public Library card. Click here to register individually for each class.

Mondays: 10:30-11:00am: July 12 & 26
Wednesdays: 4:30-5:00pm: July 21, August 4 & 18 

​VIRTUAL JUNGLE ANIMAL BINGOVirtual Bingo
Grades K-5: Meet with Miss Nancy via Zoom to play Virtual Jungle Animal BINGO! Pick up your bingo card in the library or print one at home. Any BINGO winners can pick up their prizes in the library.

KIDS CRAFT KIT TO-GO: 3D FIREWORKS PICTURE kids craft kit to go - 3d fireworks picture
All ages: Since we can't meet in person for Crafty Saturdays, we have 3D Fireworks Picture Craft Kits-To-Go available for pickup during library hours! Please register to reserve your craft kit(s), and we will email you instructions about how to pick it up!

We hope you will enjoy this craft kit. We would also love it if you sent us a picture of your creations! Click here to register.

LEGO BUILD ALONG CHALLENGELego Build Along Challenge
Grades K-5: Grab any construction materials you have at home (Legos, blocks, cardboard, paper & pencil, etc.) and build with us over Zoom! We'll reveal the secret theme at the beginning of the program. Feel free to showcase some of your original creations as well!

Once you are registered, you will receive an email the week of the program with information on how to join the online meeting.

Please email youth@sgpl.org if your child does not own any Legos. We can provide an assortment of Legos for them to use.

PET PARADE: SUMMER READING GRAND FINALEPet Parade - Summer Reading Grand Finale
All ages: To finish out our pet-themed Summer Reading, the library will march in a Pet Parade. Come show off your cat, dog, bird, fish, hermit crab, or bearded dragon! Anyone is welcome to walk with us, with or without a pet. Feel free to bring wagons for children and pets. Pets must be leashed. If you don’t have a pet that can join us in the parade, stuffed animals are welcome, too!

Parade participants should arrive around 10:30 a.m. Parade will begin at 11:00am.

Even if you are unable to walk in the parade, feel free to come and watch!

​SPRINKLER STORY TIMESprinkler Story Time
All ages: Wear your swimsuits to the library for Sprinkler Story Time! We will read fun stories then play in the sprinkler on the library lawn. Join us for a cool time! Click here to register.
